Came across an issue where after upgrading from MicroStrategy 7 to MicroStrategy 9.3, we were seeing extra spaces after attribute element values.
We were able to verify this only because these elements were set as hyperlinks and therefore we saw extended underlines (screenshot below).
An easy way to fix this is in MicroStrategy Web, go to Preferences > Project Defaults > General. Scroll down half way until you see Data Display property. Make sure the checkbox "Trim leading and trailing white space for warehouse element data" is selected.
Now, having pointed you to this quick fix, I will say that I would still prefer to fix this in the underlying data. Why apply superficial patches when you can address the issue at the source!
